Not sure why Swiss inventor, Adrien Mercier, thought this would be a great idea back in the 1930's.... Maybe because mountains. The French Army apparently commissioned several prototypes and tested it on 45% slopes. This is down-right nutty ! Apparently capable of 40 mph !?!?

I'd give it a try... Would you ?

If you count the bogeys, there are five wheels. This thing is clearly safer than safe.
